Solutions Architect — U.S. National Defense and Intelligence
Location: Springfield, VA - Onsite at Customer Facility
Duration: Full-time

About Us
Voyager Search specializes in connecting and interpreting vast amounts of spatial and non-spatial data across diverse structured/unstructured repositories and catalogs. Our mission is to make data discoverable, interoperable, and actionable, enabling organizations to unlock its full potential.
Our flagship software, Voyager, is built on Apache Solr/Lucene and delivers a robust framework for enterprise data enrichment, conditioning, and management. With deep capabilities for geospatial data integration, Voyager enables advanced search, metadata governance, and AI/ML workflows, empowering decision-makers with new insights, decision ready indicators, and ensuring zero-trust security compliance.

Position Summary
The Solutions Architect will play a lead role in the delivery of an agency-wide metadata governance solution with a strong emphasis on geospatial data within national intelligence. This role requires onsite work in a classified environment, supporting the deployment of Voyager software across C2S networks.

The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise search technologies—preferably Apache Solr/Lucene, though experience with other platforms (e.g., Elasticsearch) is also acceptable—and geospatial workflows.
As the bridge between Voyager’s internal development team, onsite system integrators, and government stakeholders, the Solutions Architect will ensure the solution’s successful implementation and delivery.
While prior experience with the Voyager software platform is a plus, we will work closely with the selected candidate to rapidly develop proficiency and provide the support needed to excel in this mission-critical deployment.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical deployments in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, collaborating with analysts, developers, and senior managers to deliver innovative solutions.
